Your Library Card

Library accounts are automatically created for new students. Your student ID card serves as your library card and will give you borrowing privileges to over 2,000 books in Fremont, and access to all 25 DeVry libraries via Interlibrary Loan.

Loan Periods

Books - can be borrowed for a 2-week period and can be renewed once for 2 additional weeks. A maximum of 10 books may be checked-out at any given time.

Reserve Books - Do not circulate.

Magazines - can be borrowed for 1 week. Up to 3 periodicals (back issues only) may be checked out at one time. Renewals are not possible.

Videos, DVDs - can be borrowed for 1 week. Renewals are not possible. A maximum of 2 videos & 2 DVDs can be checked-out at any given time.

Doing it Online - Renewals

You may renew any book checked out on your card via the Internet. Go to Library Patron Account to renew your books. Books can be borrowed for a 2 week period and can be renewed once for 2 more weeks. A maximum of 10 books may be checked-out at any given time.

Fines & Fees

Library patrons are responsible for all materials checked out on their cards.
Books: 25 cents per day.
Magazines: 25 cents per day.
Books with software: 50 cents per day.
Videos: $1 per day.
DVDs: $1 per day.
Wireless Modems Cards: 25 cents per 15 minutes overdue.
Lost/Damaged Items: Lenders will be charged the amount required to replace the lost item or damaged item.
